Covid 19 Update (29-12-20)

29 December 2020

Dear Parents / Carers

I hope you have had a good break over Christmas and that despite all the challenges, you managed to be in contact with all the people you love and care for.

You will have seen speculation in the press about schools re- opening for the start of the new year, and we will keep you informed as any developments happen. We do know that the Government is likely to want Special Schools to stay open whatever decisions are taken and so I would urge you to get your secondary aged child tested for Covid. 19 in the next few days before they return to school next week. If the test is positive please keep them at home. We will of course allow your child back to school if you do not do this, but for the safety of everybody in our community, I would urge you to make an appointment and get the test done.

We will continue to work with you to keep your child and our staff safe. Thank you for your support so far. I look forward to celebrating a return to normality with you all as soon as possible in 2021.

Best wishes

Ruth Sturdy
