11th December 2020
I am writing to update you about the end of term arrangements following the latest announcement from the Department for Education this week. You may have read that they suggested schools now take the 18th December as an INSET day and so all our schools will therefore be closed on this day. Langham Oaks will be ending on Thursday 17 December at 1.00pm. I understand that for some families this might cause a difficulty, however, the Trustees feel this is another small measure which may help contribute towards reducing the risk of self-isolation over the Christmas period. I will give you further details in the New Year about how we will ensure that the day we take at the end of this term is replaced in 2021.
I would like to thank you for your continued support during these challenging circumstances. We can only do the work we do in partnership with our parents and carers and we value these relationships. The children and young people have coped well with all of the necessary changes in school and we are very proud of them. It has been amazing to see how they have come back to school this term and enjoyed learning. We are looking forward to a time in the future when things can be more ‘normal’ in all of our schools and we will be able come together to celebrate and share all of the achievements of our children and young people.
I would like to wish you a happy and healthy holiday and a wonderful 2021.
